People Living with HIV/AIDS, their partners, family and carers can
expect the following;

▪ Social support (HUGS and Women’s Group).
▪ Advocacy.
▪ Referral service to other specialist
medical services & Government Departments.
▪ Complementary therapies (Remedial
Massage, Reflexology & Qigong).
▪ Annual retreat.
▪ Access to resource information.
▪ Better health self-management program.
▪ Positive Speaker program in local High
Schools.
▪ Liaison with other Community
Organisations (see links/resources).
▪ Information workshops/forums.
▪ Volunteer Friends.
▪ Limited transport assistance.
Our goal is to keep our clients as independent as possible, not taking
their independence away. Our clients make their decisions and set the
limits according to their needs and state of health. PSN is committed to
delivering a quality service focused on the needs of our clients.
The PSN office offers a range of printed HIV resources (Talkabout Magazine,
HIV Australia and Positive Living) as well as LGBTQ
newspapers/newsletters and magazines (Out on the Coast, Out Now, Agala)
and information from other community and government organisations (Karumah
PLC, Pacific Link, HARP Sexual health Promotion, Gen Q, PozHets and
NCOSS). Electronic versions (if available) can be forwarded by request.
